This is my first experience with a house duck, Ive always kept my young uns inside but this duck just helps herself. She loves to be stroked and cuddled and gets very agressive if she asks for a cuddle and doesnt get one! This is her first experience living with other ducks I think.
that is amazing that she is very emotional like that. She's very interactive. Gotta love her. Hopefully the aggression isnt too much.
I don't have a house duck anymore but have you tried ff lately? I put split peas in it along with their feed and they devour it.Ugh, I need some help from my fellow house duck mamas. Wobbles hasn't eaten the past several days. He shows interest, and will DEVOUR treats, but won't touch his regular food. I don't believe he's in any kind of physical distress, I think he's just gotten spoiled to the point where he just wants to skip his vegetables and go right to dessert. I'm kind of in this mindset right now:
We've got three brands of duck food: Mazuri, Iams, Purina and an organic homemade blend we get at the local farmhouse. He won't touch any of 'em. Any of you guys had to deal with a picky eater?
