Show off your house ducks!

Yeah...I feel kinda bad, it's my fault he sorta sucks at bein' a duck. He didn't have any duck buddies to bounce ideas off of growing up, so to speak :p Hils doesn't like the idea at all because of what happened before, but it's like, come on, he's gotta eat!

Well I had mentioned before about Pickles pulling Sassy' s flight feathers out. Well I noticed he wasn't just pulling them he was pulling them and EATING them. Crazy right?? So I thought maybe he needs more protein so I scrambled up some eggs Sassy loved them, Pickles wouldn't touch them. So I thought maybe they just weren't happy indoors. So I fixed up my 28 ft very heavy chicken tractor for them. It has at least 5 times more room. Put them in and everything was going well. Went inside to get their food and came out to a horrible scene. Pickles was chasing Sassy around the chicken tractor pulling feathers and eating them and she's trying to get away but can't making this gurgled screaming sound. Im yelling/crying trying to get to her but I cant. I finally go super woman and lift the whole thing on its side and grab her. Now she's inside not bleeding and safe. And my mini nervous breakdown is over. And Pickles is in the chicken tractor pouting.
poor little Sassy. Glad you got her out and safe. Tuff luck Pickles, pout away.

Welp, Wobs is eating with gusto again. I got him some veggies, and after chowing down he's suddenly turned into a little piggy again. I wonder if it's just a variety thing? Like, how sometimes when you eat sweets and crave something savory and vice versa? I dunno.

I reckon they could get appetite fatigue, similar to us. I suspect it's one way the brain has of getting us to ingest a variety of foods so we get all the nutrients we need.

Hooray for Wobs!!

I kinda figured that. I also assumed since my cats and former dog were happy eating the same food every day it'd be the same for waterfowl. Guess not. :hmm

how do your cats and Wobbles get along?

Better than before, that's for sure. Stu gets along with him WAY better, but Mochi is still a bit of a problem. He'll stalk Wobs through the house and I've caught him mid-pounce once or twice. Luckily he's a total pansy and any sudden noise sends him running! :p

Thank goodness he is a pansy that runs off. Does Wobs ever do that duck thing with either cat where the duck puts his neck and head horizontal to the floor, sorta spreads the wings out, opens bill and runs toward one? My buddy's ducks do that to his small dogs. He says it's funny to watch.
