Show off your house ducks!

Down to the wire...the eggs are supposed to pip tomorrow! What'll I do if Wobbles is hostile? I mean, I KNOW what I have to do, I just really hope it doesn't come to that. He gets so depressed if I have to separate him. :/
do you mean separating him from you? Poor little guy. I hope that doesn't happen. Don't want him depressed. Depression sux.

Ducks RULE!!!!! So I live in Oregon and the big college rivalry here is between the Ducks and Beavers. I graduated from neither but any time there's a civil war game I pull for the Ducks because they represent the web feeted quacking funny swimming silly birds I love so much.

So most of you guys have female house ducks, right? I've spent most of the day wondering what this new little duck's personality will be like. I don't have the slightest clue what to expect. I know I kinda won the character lottery with lil' Wobbles, there's no way lightning could strike twice, could it? I know females tend to be mellower, will she be a demure little snugglebug, or will she be as bombastic little turd like Wobs? :p
Bombastic!! They will rule you and Hils. But you will love every minute of it.

This made my morning!

Wobbles is wonderful!

Mama Saxony is in her favorite spot in the living room, and giving me her usual angry tail fan and hiss greeting, so I think she is feeling a little better. I have to check her over for occult injury today, but I couldn't bring myself to over stress her by handling her after that yesterday. She gives me a ton of attitude, and bites hard enough to leave spectacular bruising, but I am happy to see that when push came to shove, she knew I would protect her and take care of her. Normally, I can call her all I want, she just gives me the stank eye and ignores me. Yesterday, as soon as she saw me and heard me call, she made a beeline for me, dragging one wing and a Khaki Campbell drake. She did this up a snowbank, hurdled the trunk of a large bush we cut down last summer, and took a flying leap off the ice flow by the back door onto the kitchen floor. Of course she isn't going to let me cuddle her anytime soon, no matter how much I want to. I feel bad for her mate Gunther, so I may drag him in eventually as well. (He likes to be cuddled) He is in a full molt, so the house will look like there was some sort of tragic accident at a down comforter factory, but they will have each other (no matter how bad a husband he was yesterday)...
I am so happy to hear she's doing better. And Bless HER for being back to her sassy self. She is an amazing girl hanging on through that horrid ordeal and coming to you to be rescued. Just buy another Dyson Bagless Bionic Vacuum Sucker for Gunther's feathers.

My little white duckie (Named prince charming) used to do that! But he was so squat he couldnt right himself. I used to tell him thats the problem with being famous (Because he won shows around here. He won because he was SQ so he was squat) I used to walk outside and see him on his back with his feet in the air just kicking! I dont know how long he was like that but if I didnt help he couldnt right himself. He would fall off the 6 inch ramp going into the coop. lol

My aunt even called him dumb butt.!
Squat Prince Charming sounds like the perfect bodied love duck that would never leave my hands.

Yeah, I've heard a lot about the Oregon Ducks. I wonder if they're looking for a mascot...?

Heehee, Wobbles would fit that bill perfectly. And imagine that really the heeeeuuuuge mainstream public doesn't give ducks much thought let alone have never heard of a Call duck. I hadn't until last year. Imagine him running out of the locker room onto the field, his tiny white body and cute face and people would go nuts.

I'm about 4 hours North of the campus, maybe I should give 'em a call and work something out! :p And he's an aggressive lil' thing when he wants to be, pretty fitting for a football team, LOL!
