I honestly have no idea. When I first brought her home at two days old I thought she was a blue pied. Then she erupted into red and brown feathers in a melted candy bar pattern. She looks like a tortoiseshell kitty!

She is so very orange sauce worthy!

It's like she has a patina to her...or like when my darks get bleached in the wash

Yeah! At first I thought she was just a blue pied with an insane amount of rusting, but as she got older her blue bits began to turn either brown or black, and her red bits turned either light brown or peachy-caramel. It's so bizarre. I love it though, she really is like a little scoop of caramel turtle ice cream!

well, once you heal up, u will be saying it to them. Wow, Bean on the laptop. She so koot. And that photo of Wobbles starting to streak by is funny. I am glad to see the two diminutive web footed bewrds in close proximity. They both display puffness and roundness.

Bean LOVES laptops! Pretty much anything with a keyboard, she'll hop right on and start pecking away. Wobbles enjoys doing the same to our PS3 controllers. Well no wonder they would bicker so much; Wobbles is a console gamer but Bean belongs to the PC Master Race!

No foolin' me guys, I have a hard time detecting these things via text. Especially when I'm loopy on pain meds!

Seriously though, I do think how cool it'd be to try and develop a little tortoiseshell call duck color! That's part of why I'm so eager to learn what kinds of weebeeps she and Wobbles would produce together. He had a bit of snowy somewhere along his bloodline, so who knows what could happen! I dream of making a line of caramel turtle ice cream webs <3
