Show off your house ducks!

Please tell me how you housetrained them!

You don't, they have to wear diapers in the house.

She's been laying for about a month now, and is otherwise acting fine. It's just the insane amount of diaper-defying poop that has me worried! That's why I asked here and not ehc all duck thread, I need Kukupecpec, Scovy Momma or Rayvn to weigh in since all their house duck girls are laying.

ChaCha does a similar watery bleh after egg laying. It's why I don't eat her eggs if they are laid in her diaper. They are usually COVERED in nasty tar pooh. She often lays suuuuper early in the morning and she doesn't wear a diaper overnight anymore now that she's got her pop up pen, but when she was diapered overnight in her crate I had to line the walls with a towel that I could pull out and wash every day because she usually exoloded all over the walls. Lol
I hope Bean's doing better!

I new: I never raised a duck but seem great. Trying to buy a duck. Not sure if we will get baby ducklings or a full grown foster duck to start. Or if it will be inside at first or outside like to learn more.

Well it all depends what breed your getting, you should at lest get 2. I suggest pekins. They're lovable and tame. I also think that you should raise them as outside ducks if you can, because they enjoy being outside on a pond. Not saying there's something wrong with house ducks, I let one of my ducks inside all the time, and one if my chickens!

Welcome! Welove new people! Like @AxolotlLove said, it all depends =) what are you hoping to get from your duck (or duckies)? There's lots of pet duck experience here, but if you are thinking about outdoor ducks you should definitely check out the duck thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/737292/the-duck-thread/11250#post_16191473 ! They have more experience with outdoor duckies and can give you all the advice you could ever need for happy healthy outdoor ducks =D Now is a great time to do your research, right before the spring duckling boom when you can find just about any kind of duck your heart desires!
