Show off your house ducks!

I only have one so he isn't too much work inside. He much prefers to play with shoes we leave around then his toys haha. He also loves anything with a string on it! So maybe you could try some sort of cat toy. Luda sleeps in the laundry as it's not too big and he sleeps in the same position every night. We just use old towels and I bought a big fluffy blanket that I cut into smaller pieces that was I can just wash them all once a week. I put a mirror in there too as its meant to keep them company. He had a water dish and food dish, heavy ones as he's very clumsy and tends to knock them over. If we are watching TV or doing dinner he knows to sit on his towel we put in the lounge room or on the couch. I don't think we have trained him he just finds it familiar so he will nest on it. Luda has an outside pen for when we are at work though so if he is staying inside during the day you will probably need a light inside pen you can move around and clean easily. When he was a baby he lived in a 300L container I bought at a hardware store which worked well.

Don't you ever let him around the house? Does he have a diaper? I feel kinda bad for him being locked up all alone for so long every day :/

Does he push Freddie around?

Naw, they are best friends, Gibby sometimes pushes around Carly though, but DJ Quack is always there to keep him in line

I'm glad DJ Quack keeps Gibby from pushing Carly around too much.

Oh my, the three of them and I think, the partial of Carly are so cute. On the snow with the puff of their bodies to keep them warm. Very Eeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I noticed the eithen my male takes his time making sure hope gets around he guides her around the pen. What kind of veggies do you feed your ducks?

I think you have the wrong idea, Luda is a very loved, happy, healthy and social duck. He has access to the whole house, yard, pool etc. yes he sleeps in the laundry but that is part of our house and is not shut up.. He is happy to go nest in there every night and takes himself to bed generally. The only other time he is alone is work which I do casually so it's not "for so long every day" and when no ones home he is outside in his spacious pen, digging in the dirt for the worms, eating grass, swimming. He enjoys being out there. It makes me feel awful to think that I would ever neglect my feathery friend!

Oh Luda is beautiful! I'm sure you don't neglect him, he seems like a very happy boy! and I'm sure nobody here would intentionally try to make you feel bad. What breed is he? His pattern is gorgeous!

No I'm sure it wasn't intentional :) thank you, he's a Muscovy, 9 weeks old a little bigger than in that photo now. I love his pattern too, so exciting to see all the different looks they can have and what they'll grow up to look like!
