Show off your roosters

My rooster is still young, but he has small spur buds. I do have a hen that has a genetic mutation and has spurs. They are not very long and she is not dangerous, so we never removed them.

Do most of you remove the roosters spurs? I just notice a lot don't have very long spurs. My red jungle fowl has really long sharp spurs. I'm glad he does to help him fight the cooper's hawk if it ever returns.
My game bantam roo has some nice long spurs but they aren't long enough to curl into his skin so I have not removed them since he and his lady go out into the woods daily to forage. .

Good lord... just had this monster brought into work... he's easily 2x the size of a normal EE rooster. If I didn't know better I would swear he had oriental blood... of course being me I immediately told the owners I'd take him.

And here... that's his cage on the left, which as you can see he's so tall his tail and head touch the roof... well here on the right is a cage with a normal sized EE in it... to give a size comparison.

Still trying to think of names. King? Big Daddy? Behemoth? He's something to behold, for sure.
He is a BEAUTY!!!!! Love the coloring.

Oh wow he's pretty!!!

He looks a lot like a 4 1/2 month old EE roo I have. (Who doesn't have a name, just the big white roo) He is also about 2 or 3 times the size of the other EE roos in the batch who are the same age.

He's going to be a Handsome Boy! Going to be interesting when he matures.

I try to keep my roosters spurs at optimal length... that is the length they would naturally be in nature. About 1.5- 2 inches.. any longer it they become more of a burden than a help... Too short and they might miss predator or kick with feet only. Straight seems to be better than curved/curled also in my opinion.

I never owned a rooster before, I got this one because of a persistent cooper's hawk. I always thought that they went straight back, but his angle inwards. How do they look to impale a cooper's? He's extremely protective of his hens but backs off of me when I catch one.
