what breed of bird is this

I'm thinking about getting this roo. The guy said he bought him at TSC last year. Any ideas on breed? I can't figure it out

I am going to guess a mix.

My first thought was Golden Cuckoo Marans but he doesn't quite look like them:

He looks like a buff orpington / barred rock cross. Kinda similar to my boy and that is what he is.

Pretty, my daughter wants a whole flock of buffs. Her rooster last year started attacking us all so he got put down.

As much as I would love to say yes. Brenda is bringing me either eggs or babies that are buff next week. I also have a few mixed in with what I bought on e-bay, and she is getting 5 pullets and 1 cockerel in may from Cackle hatchery. So My new coops will be filled to the Brim this year. Next year I may add in some more but this year with all the chicks we have ordered along with all of the eggs I am hatching I am expecting to have around 100 to 150 chicks total and that is if only 1/4 to 1/3 of the eggs hatch which is the usual from e-bay. So it will be our big year this year. Next year I will add in some new buff Orpingtons if they are needed. Along with Turkens, Sussex, Delawares, game birds, and so many more. Lets hope I wont need them all.

I want to take a break next year I think. I may love the chicks but gesh this many will be a handful this year. I never thought in my whole lifetime I would have that many babies at once.

I am sure I will be overwhelmed with so many. I know that 3 Turkens are going to 1 lady, however Brenda better be bringing a bigger clothes basket this year.
