Beautiful! And finally, this guy, aptly named Bruce Jenner. He was a surprise breeding...didn't realize my BLRW roo got to my columbian Wyandotte hen. But he was meant to be. I gave him to my SIL as a chick. She returned him because he was a he. He came back, and didn't act like a he, did not have his rooster saddle feathers, NEVER crowed. He acted just like a hen. I sent "him" back, only for my SIL to catch him crowing on video. So I took him back and awhile later, I took him to a chicken processing demo, as we are learning to process some of our chickens. He narrowly escaped the freezer that day. Somehow he managed to miss the next processing day and long story short, he ended up becoming my nanny rooster. He looks after my babies, and helps keep my toddler entertained. He is the only chicken in my yard who does not have to stay in a pen. He has the run of the yard. Wakes me up every morning at my bedroom door on my patio and generally looks after everything around the yard.
He is not going anywhere...I absolutely love him.
