Show Quaility Large Fowl Rhode Island Red

Would the breeders of show quality RIR post pictures of their birds. I am working on standard size fowl and am interested in their body type. Please post pictures of birds that have won ribbons etc.. I have seen bantam RIR but not standrad size SQ RIR.

I did a search and could not find pictures of birds that have been judged at a show. If I missed a post, I apologize.

Sorry that this pic is not in color. This is of a hen that won Champion Large Fowl at our annual end of year show this past October. She also was not showing off very nicely and decided to fluff up her back just before I took the shot

Here is one pic of one of my girls. They are still pullets, set to be shown in January but they come from top notch show stock. They are hard to photograph as they follow me around like puppies.

I just wanted to say they are very pretty birds. Does anyone know if all county fairs show birds? I am looking to improve my breed and want to show sooner or later.

I know a lot of county fairs hold shows, but you would have to check to be sure. I will not show at fairs.

What are you breeding?

mainly white leghorns, RIR's and BR's. Working on it anyway.
