Thank you! That is great advice! I paid $30 per bird.For good quality birds that are from a show winning line and are true to their standards you should be looking at between £30 to £100 each, depending on the breed and quality. If a trio is what you are after expect to pay anywhere from £100 to £300!
It is not cheap, but I would suggest going for the best ones available because there is very little point getting a trio of birds that are £80 from a rubbish line when there are some on offer for £225 that are clearly better quality. Just save up for the better ones because they will be more rewarding and you will be able to dive right into showing and breeding instead of wasting £80 and then having to spend a few generations fixing their errors.
