I think reguardless you should show him for the experience. Let judges tell you the flaws, and you can meet other breeders that you compete agianst, and ask them what they think. It should be alot of fun.

Do you plan on having a long term breeding program? IF yes, I would wait till you go to a show. And find out what the weaknesses are in your bird and then try to find an adequate female to rememdy any flaws. that is what I did with some of the varieties of birds I have. As an example IF one of your birds is leggy get a shorter legged female to compensate.

Where did you it from?
It look to be very leggy. (much like hatchery black tail japs.)
You shouldn't be able to see that much of there legs.
