One thing to try to get clearer eggs is using the Macro feature on your digital camera. It is the one that looks like a flower. It's for taking pics close up-usually 3 feet and under-and helps the camera focus at such close range. You shouldn't need the flash either when taking pics of candeling.

Flowerpot, I made my own. Light bulb under a box with a hole in it. LOL Works fine.

ShellieESterling-That wasn't directed just at you. There are many that I have seen that have trouble taking close up pics and this is one of the main problems. I was just trying to give a tip.

I love the Canon Powershots. Mine is an A560 and before this one I had the A70.

I love my camera too. Are the A series all point and shoot? I wanted a digital SLR, but I'm not wasting a car payment on a camera. I think $400 was sufficient. LOL

I would love to show my eggs when I candle,but unfortunately when I take a pic and the flash goes off nothing shows except the white shell

The veins and embryo show up quite clear when candling...just wish I could take a pic of it

Not sure how or if I can turn the flash off.
