thank you jenlyn, I am sure that is what they are now that so many of my byc friends have identified them as hamburgs. these guys are flighty when I approach them. Quite the opposite of my spitz's who seem to be very laid back.

Hello everyone! I am a new chicken mom!

and here is my new baby. He/she is a 3 week old frizzle. not sure if bantam or cochin, it has feathers on it's feet/legs. I also believe its not pure and mixed with goodness only knows, I only saw 1 frizzle chicken at the place I got it from and it was a white frizzle hen, clearly my baby isn't white though, so I am confused as to what color its going to end up being... can anyone help?

This is one of the Araucanas, this one was at the very bottom of the pileup of babies when I got home, I thought she was going to die, she was very limp and lifeless. I laid her on the bed while I watered everyone else and by then she had perked up and is very pretty and almost hawklike in appearance.

I think from what I have been reading these are not really Araucanas but Ameracaunas (sp?)

i hatched this little serama dude last week.
he was the first one out of the eggs and i named him "rocky" because he wanted out soooooo bad. he fought like a little champ to get himself out of that darn egg.
he is a very energetic little guy and photographs well. i didn't notice it until i uploaded my pics but he is in like half of the chick pics i took last week.
obviously he is mommy's favoirite!

(chapstick is included for scale and yes, that is a normal sized chapstick!!!)
