This is Ffion (formally Bikkie, but seeing as our other chick turned out to be a boy he is now called Bikkie and our little girl has a much more feminine name). Ffion is Welsh for Foxglove. Don't let that angelic little face fool you. Ffion is always begging to be released from the brooder, and once she escapes she runs around, flapping like a crazy chicken, so happy to be free and evading capture for as long as possible. Her theme song is the Gene Autry song "Don't Fence Me In" . She's utterly fearless and such a character. She is a breed developed in New Zealand called Waipahi (pronouned why-pah-hee).
