Haven't been on BYC in a while but needed some opinions. I'm thinking this is a cockerel/roo due to the streamers on the head, but would like to hear what y'all think. He(or she)

is around 5 months old.

The feathers on the back of the head. They kind of stick out more than they would on a female.

I would expect to see more wattle on a five month old beardless cockerel. I am not convinced this bird is male. Can you post a good close up of the comb?

Wattle size, or existence depends on comb type.

No argument from me, but this bird's comb is not visible in the photos provided. Assuming a walnut comb, I would still expect to see more wattle in a 5 month old non bearded cockerel.
In silkies (and showgirls) wattles are inhibited by the bearding gene, so you often get very small or even non existent wattles in bearded birds. This bird is beardless though.
