1. A heterozygous showgirl silkie roo (has bowtie) bred to a regular silkie hen would equal what ratio of showgirl and regular silkie offspring?

2. A heterozygous showgirl silkie roo bred to another heterozygous showgilr silkie hen would equal...?

It's the one gene I've learned so far LOL! I just need to sit down and study the silkie genetics.

Yes. Showgirls are heterozygous for the NN gene or homozygous for the NN gene. Heteros have a "bowtie" group of feathers on the front of their necks and Homos have a completely naked neck. Insiderart has one that has a really naked neck posted on another thread.

So would this be homo? He has like two little feathers where the neck feathers should be. Or is he just not showing alot of feathers?

LOL... Ya I think it would have to be the tiniest because there is only two actual feathers on each side. If there were any less he would have none. He just barely started to crow so I havnt breed him yet.
