Showgirls and BLRW hatching - PICS ADDED!!! Now with BLRW

Here are the pics of the BLRW. Unfortunately I only had 4 make it as I think my humidity was still too high during incubation and they were very sticky upon hatching.

My eggs from Sue came today

.....I'll put them in later tonight. They are such cute chicks! So far only 1 of the 3 BLRW I have in the hatcher have hatched....I'm beginning to think they don't travel very well.

Actually, Katie, 11 out of 18 eggs developed from Sue. I think the problems I has were my fault. I had the little showgirl eggs in with the bigger BLRW and a few CB marans and the big guys just did not dry down. I don't keep my humidity that high but I guess it was still too high. I was watching the air cells and while the little ones were drying the big ones were not - very typical and why it is not a good idea to incubate them together. I wish you luck with your batch.
