I've been thinking about entering Finn in a show soon. I was wondering what kind of process I have to go through. I think he is a Golden Spangled Hamburg bantam. He lives inside, so he does not have lice or mites or anything, 100% healthy. Any tips?
Thanks!
I would get him tested by the state (because most shows won't let you in unless you have papers to prove they are clean.) I personally wash my chickens before I go to a show, but I do showmanship and I don't want to handle a dirty bird (nor does a judge)
I think it depend on what state your in. I believe it's a dollar or two in CT, but not sure of other states. Maybe the state will have it on their site some where
I asked on all the hamburg threads and they agree with me. Not every chicken is colored exactly the same. Besides, this isn't a fancy chicken show. Its at a fair.
