I just come across a short slideshow on the Guardian Newspaper's website that shows eggs, whole and cracked open, being judged at the U.K. Poultry Club's 2012 National Show:

I've only attended a few Southern Ohio Poultry Association shows in Lucasville, but I've never noticed any egg judging activity: is this also common in the USA?
