I took some really good pictures of Blue today, my blue-bibbed call drake. He has some cool brown feathers on his chest and a few tiny green feathers on his head!

Kinda blurry but you can see the green dot!

He's gorgeous. His color is way, way off. He is really pretty though. He actually looks like Bibbed Khaki with Blue (basically the genotype of the US Cinnamon Runners). The question though is how a person would get that color in the first generation cross in a drake (since the brown is sex-linked). It could happen if the breeder had a line of Blues that also carried brown (possible if they also had chocolate bibbed).

There are a couple other things that might have caused that color. Do you know his history? It would be interesting to see what you could breed from him.

I got him from duckluck. =] She said his color was off, but I still love him!

Oh he has a HUGE personality. Probably has the biggest one out of all my ducks!
