Showing Silkies

Hello I was wondering do the nonbearded silkies still have the big crest or not and if they're showable. Also what would happen if a bearded roo bred with a nonbearded hen would the chicks have the beard or not and which colors would they most likely get more the roo or hen. If nonbearded can be shown can anyone post some SQ for reference also. Thank you all.

Yes, nonbearded silkies can be shown, although finding good quality ones is more difficult. Best to breed nonbearded to nonbearded, and to the same colour. Bearded and nonbearded are recognized by the ABA in white, black, blue, splash, partridge, grey, buff and self blue. And bearded naked neck white. APA recognizes all these except nonbearded splash and self blue, and the naked neck.
