I am not sure that "splash" is an accepted coloring at APA shows. I dont have my book of standards anymore so hopefully someone will check for you.

The splash variety in Jersey Giants is not an accepted color under APA rules.

Blue, white and Black are the accepted varieties. You CAN show the bird under all other varieties, but it can only take the best of variety.

Go ahead and show them and list the variety as splash. As Rodriguezpoultry stated they cannot go any higher than best of variety because they have not been standarized yet. The blue Jersey Giants were not standardized until 2002 when a large group of breeders petitioned the APA and went through the work associated to get them standardized. This all culminated with them showing them at the APA/ABA Joint National Show in Columbus, OH in 2002 with about 80 large blue jersey giants being shown!!! This can be done with the splash variety pretty easily since most people breeding blues will have splash giants occasionally from blue to blue matings. Get yours in to a show cage and let others see them and then interest in them will increase.

Best wishes,

Bo
