the lobster state... gross!
My show will be in August 2014.... And was wondering what to do once you go in the ring.
Do you just answer all his/her questions? Or show every thing without question? And also if I go ahead and show the bird what do I show? Thank for reading and answering (if you did)!

Thanks, bye!

I judge a number of fairs each summer most of which have a shoemanship program. I don't know that there's any standard format for showmanship. The way I conduct showmanship is to ask a series of questions & then give the participants certain tasks to perform. eg: place the bird in a show cage & remove it properly, etc.

The difficulty of the questions increases with the experience of the participant. Novices questions are much easier than questions asked of senior showmanship entrants. However, on every level, the questions are intended to challenge & increase the entrant's knowledge. If there were only easy questions what would be the point?
