Please try to keep posts "show" related. We have a regular thread for eastern, Tn if you want to talk about anything else or have general questions about back yard poultry. That thread is located here https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/449457/eastern-tennessee-thread/5740#post_9478549

This is the place to talk about any show with-in 50 miles of Cocke county,Tn. (what we kindly refer to as the eastern, tn and Appalachian area.

List early what you might have for sale, what your showing, etc..etc..

Dates to follow....just have to confirm.

In reference to Something to crow about....

I should have at least 20 chicks this year that are going to be sold as a mystery grab style. All chicks will be together and the chances (with my #'s so far) will be equal for getting the following:
Darker brown egg layer
Olive egg layer
Green egg layer
Blue egg layer
Some roosters will be obvious and some will not, obvious roos are free with any other purchase. All the chicks will be 3.00 each

Since I am still new to this will someone please tell me if there will be a list of breeders on the regular thread listing what they will have for sale or do we just go to the show? Thanks

Most of the people in the east tn group try and meet up at both the spring and fall shows at cocke county. Many attend others as well of course, but for our area the little "something to crow about" show is a big deal. I guess it does'nt take much, LOL
As far as your question....a list of who is showing is not available until the evening before at the location. And that list does not necessarily mean those people are breeders...only showing.
I started this thread exactly for that reason though. I was hoping it would start with the east tn group folks listing what they might be bringing and might catch on to others as well.
If you visit the middle tn thread or any other local threads..you might want to mention this thread also. Out of the regulars that come I know that Lori almost always has D uccles and sometimes other bantams. I'm not sure what Terri is bringing this time, but she has had silkies and show girls in the past as well as some orps I think. Daph usually has something along the lines of Ameraucanas, Cochins, or Orpingtons (but Im not sure if she has gotten away from some of those breeds or not) I will have EE's and OE.'s this time. If Contrast is able to make it I am willing to bet she brings either eggs or chicks from her Swedish Flower Hens.

A lot of bantams are usually scattered around, but I have also seen a few interesting projects and fertile eggs of various breeds as well.
