Hi, I know chickens need extra calcium.....

If I cook up some shrimp for MY supper.... can I feed the shells to the chickens?

If the answer is "YES" then should they be raw or cooked? Or does it matter?

Would I need to pulverize the shrimp shells or can I give it to them whole?

Thanks,

Mr Grandcanyon

I feed mine the tails from my frozen cooked shrimp. I think if you gave whole shells some preople would tell you to cut them up, but my chickens rip things apart on their own if they are too big. They are a yummy treat one way or another

I'm trying to submit a Flickr photo of my chickens with a lobster, but it won't work. Thanks Flickr, for changing your rules.
