Shrink bags are too small for fat Cornish Xs?

According to the shrink bag companies, a 5-8lb chicken will fit into a 10x16 size bag. I have some ziploc bags that are 10 inches across and I don't see how my fat Cornish Xs (6-7lbs) are going to fit in that. They're almost as wide as they are tall.

Have you had problems with your chickens not fitting in the bags? I'd hate to buy a hundred and find they're too small. Or spend extra for bags that are miles too big.

I got shrink bags from Texas Poultry, they are 10x16 and the website says for 5-10lb chickens. I have no idea how people can fit a 9-10lb chicken in them! Our biggest processed chicken was 6.8lbs, and it was a good wiggle to get it to fit in, but it did fit eventually.

We got the 2 gallon zip lock freezer bags, and they hold our whole birds nicely. They dressed out at 8 lbs.
