Help!
This is my first time hatching silkies- I have hatched almost everything else, but these silkies seem to be really finicky.
I had one chirping in its shell for over 24 hours. It pipped, but nothing more. I slowly and carefully peeled back the shell using coconut oil and warm water.
Now he is out, but the down is stuck to him and he’s not standing. It’s been about two hours since the assist. What should I do? I’m leaning towards just leaving him alone, but he looks so pitiful.

Has he absorbed all of the yolk? Let him be for now - keep the incubator warm and just give it more time. He's had a hard hatch and probably needs rest.
