About 4-6 hours depending on the hygrometer. No, does it take a while?
Take a bottle cap, fill with salt(Regular Table Salt), wetten the salt, place wet salt into an airtight container, or bag with the hygrometer, & wait for it to reach 75%?

From what I’ve heard I think it’s the hygrometer not the actual humidity.I don't know if I could open it right now, it's basically a styrofoam incubator with a heat lamp and a small fan.
I'll try that.About 4-6 hours depending on the hygrometer.

That's relieving, thank you so muchFrom what I’ve heard I think it’s the hygrometer not the actual humidity.
Thank you!If you've filled your water in the incubator the humidity should be good! If, for any reason, I have to open the incubator while chicks may be pipping, I like to throw in a warm, damp paper towel - it adds humidity very effectively! White membrane sounds good. Best of luck!
You're welcome.I'll try that.
Thank you so much for your help![]()
Hi!From what I’ve heard I think it’s the hygrometer not the actual humidity.
Nope! Still looks good, the membrane gets more yellow as it dries up but right now it looks like it’s a pretty normal color.Hi!
I posted a picture of an egg that has a yellow-ish membrane.
Is it shrink wrapped?
Thank you!
