Shrink wrapped ducks?? What should I do?

Lol hush! She liked it! It's been raining for 3 days.. Had to improvise to get them out if the brooder a while! It's getting crowded in there!

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what to do with them, the brooder is getting too small, I can't keep them all ( not sure hubby us going to let me keep any yet) ANC my mom isn't ready for her few yet! My daughter has a wooden playhouse ( just like a real house) in the back yard. Ice been thinking about turning it into a duck coop. She never plays in it anymore. I'm thinking cutting a doggie door in the back would work, with a ramp to the ground and a little snake proof fenced area off the back? Maybe putting chicken wire on the front door and building nesting boxes in the inside? It has peel& stick vinyl flooring.. Would I have to put shavings or straw all over the floor? This sounds totally dumb.. But I've never owned birds before!

I forgot to add, when you are looking at threads that have coops, if you look at the "pictures posted to this thread" area first, it will show what is on it

Can look at lots of ideas without having to go through all the threads

OMG...Hilarious!!! Why is it that we have to hide those snacks from our hubbies...LOL!!!

With 3 kids and a hubby, I have no hiding places!! I have to just scarf mine down in a dark closet. LOL

I forgot to add, when you are looking at threads that have coops, if you look at the "pictures posted to this thread" area first, it will show what is on it  Can look at lots of ideas without having to go through all the threads

Ok so maybe just a doghouse with a hinged top and a pen would be better? We have a 4ft high large fenced in yard but I'm concerned about them flying into my neighbors yards.

I'll get a pic of the playhouse in just a sec. It's pretty big so maybe I don't want to give them that much space as far as the poop in concerned? Lol. Yes! I'm concerned about the poop!!

OMG...that is a cool playhouse!!! I thought you meant the little tykes variety. You know..peeweee sized that only the kids can get into...LOL!!! That would definitely work and I am always for reusing things rather than buying new! You can always attach a run for them so they can waddle around freely...lucky ducks!!!!!

Isn't it awesome!! What I would have given for something like it when I was a kid!! My kids rarely ever go in it! They're too afraid of bugs! Haha
It's not movable due to us having a fence, it would have to be completely taken apart and probably trashed. So if we ever moved... I'm sure there aren't many people who would want to buy in this neighborhood who would want a duck/chicken coop. Lol

So duck keepers... What would I need to do to the inside for it to be duck friendly? Would it need straw/shavings in the floor? Or just in nesting boxes?
