All of these babies were externally pipped for over 24 hours and not making progress. Last night my husband peeled the shell back a bit. I can see the veins still on the one in the middle. I just trying to keep the membrane soft. Is there anything else we can do?

Please research before taking action, this has been rushed.
Ducklings are very slow hatchers, it's normal for them to take 24-48 hours after external pip, before zipping. Now they've been rushed, and the membrane is at risk of drying out. The holes are also far too big, especially on the far right shell, which may encourage premature hatch, raising the risk of issues after hatch.

I know you meant well, and this is a common mistake, but its very important to note for next time
I reccomend leaving them to do their thing from now- just keep an eye on those membranes and dab a little coconut oil or vaseline onto any exposed membrane to prevent it from drying out. They'll likely take another day before they're out, try not to panic about the wait, I assure you it's normal

Thank you. This is our second time hatching ducks. I think my hubby was just over excited and jumped the gun. I’ll put some Vaseline on the exposed membrane and hopefully all will go well. I still have two more I told him not to touch.
