I am currently selling my cornish x for 3.50/lb and wanted to step up my packaging from the normal bag. I have my birds processed and they are chilled by the time I pick them up. Will the heat from shrink bagging them affect the quality in any way?

The heat from the shrink wrapping is such a small, short term thing that as long as you get them back in the cooler right away, you should be OK. Since teh whole chicken is chilled, that little bit of heat won't make a difference a whole bird. I wouldn't let them sit out for an hour in the sun while you do the whole lot of them.

There are a number of people on here that use the shrink wrap bags with very good results.

That is what I am thinking as well. Thanks for the insight. The shrink bags make the final product look a lot nicer.
