I had 2 chicks hatch early tuesday morning. They are Barred rock roo over a production red hen. A yellow one came out just fine and all by himself but a black one got shrink wrapped so Ihad to help him. He got out of the shell eventually but is gross and full of hard gunk that wont come off. Now he is 2 days old and still gross and not walking right, he can not stand up normally. His toes dont seem to move and he walks on his "knees". I havent seen him eat, drink or poop (his sister is eatting and pooping like normal), and he will not stop peeping. He is driving me crazy and kept me awake all last night. What can I do to get him to eat? Will he ever walk normally? When do I give up on him ?
