I have 5 ISA browns. They are 3 years old. We are located in Mid Michigan. About 1.5 months ago two of them all of a sudden became broody. They don't want to leave the coop! I don't think they are laying anymore either? One of them when I pick her up to remove her from the nesting box, she would just lay on the ground for a few minutes then get up and move around to eat. She would stay out for a little while then go back to the coop. The second one doesn't do that when I take her out of the coop but if I don't close the coop door they will both go right back in there. The only other thing I noticed is both of their combs on top are a lot smaller. They aren't real red but I'd say pinkish. This week I am noticing some feathers in the nesting boxes. Could they just be molting? How long is that process? No pasty butt or anything like that. Anyone run a crossed this before?
