She is probably tired cause she spent the night in hiding without her flock, or maybe she was stuck somewhere. I'm so glad she's back!!!!!

Whew! Thank goodness she's back! One time my RIR Reba spent the night under the coop. We didn't even realize she wasn't inside that night-the only night, of course, that we didnt do a good headcount. What a surprise when I went to let them out to have her run out to greet me! Bet it was scary with nobody to keep her company, just like your Shuffles.

I hope she shows up for you. That's happened to us a lot. Some don't come back. But, the winner was one of our hens who dissapeared for TWO MONTHS (and that's no lie!) last summer. She showed up again, and proceeded to job share on the nest with another hen, and co-mingled with the others like she'd never been away. It was like seeing a ghost when she nonchalantly became part of the flock again! She must've been broody somewhere, but I sure don't know where...we looked everywhere.

I will try to get my camera and the chickens to cooperate for a picture, but I can't make any promises. Thanks again everyone for the kind words and concern. Shuffles is back to her same old normal self today, eating, pecking and scratching. . . really, they don't know the grief they cause us.

So glad she's back and that she now seems back to her old self, and that she doesn't seem under the weather still. She probably had stories to tell her feathered friends once she was back and rested.....
