We recieved 3 baby turkeys yesterday morning and they were all doing great. Then all of a sudden one started acting funny. He doesn't make any noise and will not move. We have been feeding him warm sugar water from a dropper and mushy crumbles soaked in Gatorade.... I don't know what to do and don't want the little guy to die. We have him separated from the others and warm.... Any ideas?!

Sulmet in the water and feed game bird food not chick food~not enough protien in it. They do need to be in heat and iw ould call where you got them. Turky poults cannot be around(or where they have been) chickens because, they have a protezo that can kill a turkey~turky poults need to stay off the ground for atleast 6months.

He was eating game starter. It was our first time with Turkey's. I don't really know what we did wrong but he died today. The other two are doing fine, actually great, but about two hours ago he just gave up.

Have an inside brooder in our living room. It's a brand new Tupperware container one of the big ones. The temp inside is 95 degrees. We got him from cackle hatchery and they were born on Wednesday. They were in shipping for two days.

I am worried that something might happen to to the other two now.

Mini- we did not call the hatchery. After only losing one we figured it wasn't really their fault.

Kuntrygirl- the others are doing great. The kids named one Forrest and the other Gump because.... Well they really aren't that bright. Lol they sure are cute though

6 months off the ground??? Where do you keep them for that long. My BBB will almost be ready for the freezer by then. Help!

That does require the extra room/brooders to do that. How much area do you have over there?
