Wilma is a 3 year old buff Orpington who until recently was the healthiest of my small flock. About 3 weeks ago she stopped laying her large healthy eggs. I gave calcium citrate for a number of days and she seemed to get better as an occasional egg would come. About a week ago she started acting strangely, sitting with eyes closed very quiet. I gave her nutra-drench and that seemed to perk her up.
But the lack of eggs and her behavior made me feel like she wasn’t feeling well. Gave her a couple warm baths and calcium. On the 8th, thought perhaps parasites. Gave safe-guard for 5 days. As of now she has not improved. Her poop is very little as she’s not eating much, starting to look watery with yellow tinged. I have read a lot of responses to similar questions here but am unsure of what to do. I’ll include a pic of her most recent droppings. I’ve started to see broken soft shell eggs. I suspect they are hers although I cannot be sure as she is kept with her sister who also has this issue ( resolved with calcium) from time to time. I would appreciate any ideas and suggestions the group may have.
