My Hen is sick. She started with a pale comb Sunday night, and now it being Tuesday she can’t walk well at all. She seems to be really light like she lost weight, but she’s been on the lighter side compared to her sister. Her comb has perked up in color. She is eating and drinks water occasionally. Very alert. Clean vent. Poop has been a little watery but nothing abnormal. She is missing her feathers on her neck. Not sure what’s wrong with her. Been treating her with Applecider Vinegar water. Gave her a epsom salt bath to clean her off and I did see some hard brown spots on her feet but doesn’t look like the photos of bumblefoot I’ve seen online. The only vet near by that takes chickens is out till Thursday. She’s hanging out in the kitchen in a laundry hamper and hasn’t moved or anything. Just looking around. Haven’t introduced any new birds and have a covered run on the side yard. Clean it once a week and it has lots of air movement. Thoughts?

Photos for refrence. This is Marry-Kate. Her comb was much more pale than it is now. I don’t believe she’s laid an egg in a couple days now since being sick but doesn’t feel egg bound.

What are her symptoms?
She isn’t able to walk, not drinking and eating as much as usual and is just acting lethargic. Occasional open mouth breathing but it’s hot here. She had a really pale comb till this morning. It’s started to come back but she still is t able to walk.

Just little coos of acknowledgment when I come up to her.

Is her crop emptying over night? The not walking is concerning. I would get some electrolytes in her if you can in case it’s heat stroke and I will tag some educators in the meantime who have more experience with illness than I do @Eggcessive @coach723
She seems to be emptying fine because she was completely empty this morning. Her crop was small like a golf ball and felt kind of like a bunch of pebbles kind of, not hard but like crunchy? If that makes sense. She also has a very foul odor to her now

Update of Mary-Kate. She’s still alert. Eating but not enough to feel her crop. She’s real thin. Providing vitamins and electrolytes. I give it to water manually because I don’t see her drinking but I do see her eating both scratch and scrambled eggs pretty well. She has one foot clutched and hobbles to readjust every now and then. Doesn’t really move otherwise.

Welcome To BYC

I'm sorry Marry-Kate is not doing well.

Does she have any lesions inside her beak?
Any lice/mites?

She's not laid an egg in a while, I'd give her 300mg Calcium Citrate+D3 now, then once daily for 5 days, see if she's able to expel an egg.

You mention she's got something going on with the foot, a brown spot? Do you have a photo of that?

I'd also give her 1/4tablet B-Complex daily. Cut out the Apple Cider Vinegar.
