Sunday morning I noticed a very watery chicken poo with a bluish tint to it. None of the chickens looked sick, so I thought I would see if I saw one again within the next few days. Today, my Red Star had poo stuck on her butt fluff and her feathers were all ruffled. I was thinking I would ask you guys what you thought when I got home. This is what I found on the cement a few minutes ago: (warning, a little gross

And this is the chicken it came out of:

She was acting completely normal when I just saw her, after she looked so sickly this morning.

Anyways, what do you think it could be? I was leaning towards a worm overload, but maybe not. If it is worms, I have never wormed the before, and this chicken is 2 years old. My oldest is 8 and the youngest is 1. They free range with 14 ducks and 2 geese as well. I also have 10, 4 week olds and 14, 2 week olds in the brooder. Thanks for the help!

maybe she just ate something that gave her a stomach ache. did you see any worms in her poop?

I guess she could have just eaten something bad. I don't know what though.

I didn't see any worms, so maybe that isn't it.

you don't have to see worms to have worms. I'd worm everyone over 1 year just because worms are out there in just about everything they eat.. The wormer of choice is Valbazen 1/2cc for large fowl and 1/4cc for small. you can buy it online or TS.. Hey Bock what happend to your hen that got bit by your dog?

Thanks so much! I will pick some up at TSC soon, I might not have time tomorrow.
Also, how long do you have to wait to eat their eggs after worming?

Rose is pretty much all better now, amazingly! Just last month she was still gasping, but now she rarely does. She acts much perkier now, thanks for all the help!

14 days.

Okay, thanks. I hope I have enough eggs saved up to feed me every morning, just kidding.

Also, do you think I should worm the ducks and geese too, or can you even do that?
