Sick adult Turkey. Can anyone help diagnosis?

Hi all!

I have a 4 year old royal white palm Turkey hen that appears to be sick. I can not figure out exactly what she has though I have a few ideas.

first, I have about 3 other turkeys of the same age and 20 chickens that have been together for the same time since I have had her. They live in close proximity.

They are all free ranged and they are fed normal crumble and cracked corn. No diet changes. Also no new bedding types are being used.

last week, my Turkey hen had become lethargic. I keep my eye on her and assumed it was the heat (it went from 60 to 80f this week). However it’s now apparent she’s sick. She’s lethargic, not interested in eating much (though she does peck around) has droopy wings, and is constantly sneezing. There is no discharge from her beak. Her stool is small and a greenish color with no blood or worms. I don’t think she’s eating much either. Her vent did have frothy foam at one point as well.

my thoughts: maybe mycoplasma and I can get Tylan for her ? But she doesn’t have much facial or joint swelling. Her face is more pale though. Maybe blackhead? But she doesn’t seem ruffled and her poop is not yellow as I know.

any ideas? I fear she is not going to last much longer and she is one of our beloved pets.

In NC and had really sick BBW hen for weeks. I honestly didn’t think she would make it after eating nothing for a week.

These folks are great and I posted pics of what little poo she had, but my avian DVM in PA said yogurt in a syringe is never wrong w a sick bird to get something in them.

Poo is one of the best indicators of what’s going on.

I will be praying for your hen. My turkey proved to be more resilient than what I thought, but best to be on top of things. I just thought I would share the yogurt by syringe tip, bc I feel it kept mine alive without using a feeding tube.

Thank you I will try this now!

How is she feeling today? If someone doesn’t post and I would re-post w poo sample if any, “might need a little help.” I was encouraged just to give clean everything and give my bird a few days. But mine had a fever, acted like she had a migraine headache w head in dark corner for days (not eating a full week). She was very ill and long distance DVM said salmonella and I thought w coli more probale. I medicated, because both I and DVMs, plus an awesome person in this group suggested what I get at TSC (Duravet). I already had Baytril my local DVM gave me before he went on vacation. She had been roughed up a puppy, although she didn’t appear wounded too much, but might have been internal injuries. She was down at least two weeks before she turned around.

I’m praying for your bird.

Sorry for typos. But my DVM friend in Canada told me turkeys are pretty resilient. They can have a bad day or two. Being a watchful and perceptive person is never wrong. Mine is like my dog.

Thank you for following up. Unfortunately she’s not doing much better and is not pooping just clear liquid . I’ve called 18 vets and all wouldn’t see her. I also am not able to get any prespcoptions for antibiotics without a vet so I’m kinda stuck. I’ve been giving her yogurt and a small amount of vitamins and apple cider vinegar in her water. Mine is also like my dog which is why I’m getting so frustrated that a vet will not see her.
