Thank you so much! You're right, there IS a ton of helpful info there. sadly, I'm almost positive that's what it is, and I've never had my flock vaccinated. All the signs/symptoms match all the things I have been noticing. I think the most I can do now is give the flock as much help as I can and try to keep them healthy. I just wonder if it wouldn't be kinder to the poor hen to cull her.
I’m so sorry 😞
If she is suffering I would say it would be kinder to cull her. Keep a close eye on your other birds. Keep us updated. Sending you lots of positive thoughts ❤️

thank you so much for helping me through all this. I'll keep you updated. I'm just going to try to save as much of the flock as possible.

The eyes look abnormal. I can’t swear that it looks like Mareks, but there could be a chance. If you lose her or put her down, I would have a necropsy done on her, to rule it out. Here is a list of state vets where you can ask about details, keeping the body cold, not frozen, and getting the body to the lab:

So I also found that it could be hemlock poisoning, which we have a lot on the property, I didn't think she could get to it though. Have any of you guys seen or dealt with that?

I haven’t ever dealt with that but wondering how’s she’s doing? ❤️

I've been keeping her in a small coop in the barn. Last night I went in to check on here. I got her to eat and drink but overall, she seems the same. her symptoms at this point are partial blindness in one eye, lethargic and overly sleepy, droopy tail and wings, runny poo, unbalanced and can't seem to walk on one leg. There's still a high chance its mareks, but I'm hopeful that it won't be, especially since there seems to be a lot of similarities to hemlock poisoning. The rest of the flock seems to be doing just fine, which is wonderful!

Well she’s holding on!!! Are you treating her for hemlock poisoning?
I’m so glad the rest of the flock is doing well!!! That’s great news ❤️

I know it's been a while, but things have been a bit busy. You had said to keep you updated, so I figured I would let you know everyone in the coop seems to be doing just fine. In fact, the sick hen seems completely healthy, with the exception of her leg, which she still can't quite stand on. All of the other girls have started laying a lot more, which I'm thinking has something to do with the fact that I must not have been feeding them right. I'm guessing I was giving them to many snacks and not enough food. I also switched food brands and added some other things I thought would help with overall health, which they seem to like pretty well. So, I'd say all things considered everything is going great. :D
