Sick Baby Bird

I just let my dog out with my mums puppies and the girl puppy started growling, so I went to go see if she had a treat and saw that she was playing with a baby bird. I scooped it up and it doesn’t look great. We have house martins in the roof so i’m pretty sure it fell out, but looks fully feathered. It’s eyes are closed and it keeps opening and closing it’s mouth. I popped a drop of sugar water in it’s beak but i’m not sure if it’s stressed or hungry? Any advice please?

If it makes it over the weekend we can take it to the RSPB in the village over.

ETA: Doesn’t appear to have any major injuries, has been moving a tiny bit.

Looks like an older fledgling. Can it walk and fly? Probably doesn't want to eat from being stressed. Have you look for any injuries? At this age the eyes should be well open. Do you think one of the pups hurt it's eye?

No walking or flying, just laid on it’s side. I’ve felt it’s ribs and wings and they seem OK, no spine/neck injuries apparent. It does open it’s eyes when I touch it but I think it’s really shocked. My stepdad said he saw it on the grass about an hour ago but didn’t touch it thinking that the cat was eating it :/

I would set it in a large box, safe from cats and dogs, with a dish of water, and either wet cat or dog food, or regular birdseed. May be best to get it to a vet
