I have a sick bantam this morning. Dont know whats wrong with her. She was fine last night and this morning she cant stand or walk. Wont even try. The other chickens seem to be fine and kept messing with her so my wife put her in a pen by herself. Anyone have some advice on what care I should give this bird? Hate losing chickens.

I would say to keep her in the pen in a warm and dry area. Make sure she has plenty of fresh water, and good food. You could try giving her something to boost her energy, too. Take a look at her legs as there could be cuts or noticeable injuries there. Maybe posting a pic would help.

Its been pretty warm here in oklahoma is it possible she could need some electrolytes? Would some vitamin b possibly fix her?

I'm sure the heat could be making her ill. Electrolytes and vitamins are good--Chick Saver at the farm stores have all that. Watch her for coccidiosis and other symptoms. Have you ever had Marek's disease?

Unfortunately most chicks will become lethargic, sleepy, stay puffed up in an out of the way place, and have a poor appetite when they are sick. Those are signs of coccidiosis and other illnesses. Later they may have blood in their stools. With mareks you may notice trouble walking or loss of balance.
