It has been a year now that I have been battling an illness with one of my quail. Last February I took her to the vet and he suspected MG and prescribed antibiotics in her water. He told me to give it to her as well as her mates since they are likely carriers now to. Since last February it has been up and down with her. She would clear up and then get worse each time. This time she lost alot of weight, hard breathing,couldn't walk, etc. I culled her about an hour ago because I was tired of seeing her fight this endless battle. I knew she wouldn't overcome it this time. There are 2 quail left. One female and one male. Both are about 3 years old give or take. Same age as she was. The 2 left have never showed symptoms or been ill. They loved with her thru this whole time and have never once been sick. Why is that? Is it probable that one day they will become deathly sick like her ? Or have the possibly built immunity to this?
