Sick chicken for 3 months might need to cull :(

I have been taking care of my sick chicken for over 3 months. She is about 6 months old cream leg bar.

She couldn’t stand for 2 months and I’ve been treating her for curled toe paralysis and given her vitamin e.

Made her a wheelchair, she is now able to stand and walk and I was really excited she was going to make it but for the last month she is lethargic and has her eyes closed most of the time.

When trying to introduce her back to her flock she has been attacked by 2 of the other chickens.

Now her pupils are starting to get grey. Not her iris, her pupils. I had to pry her eyes open to get a picture.

I feel like it might be time to cull her unless anyone thinks she still might have a chance? She is a pet which is why I’ve tried so hard for her.

Is she the only one that's sick?

Since she has bern isolated so long from the flock, hou need to gradually reintegrate her, using a "see-no-touch" method for at least two weeks before letting them be together. There are some articles about that in the Learning Center.

Are those pictures current, showing her curled up on the floor and with curled toes? She's not ready to join the flock like that.

I don't know if this looks like Marek's, some other bacterial or virus disease or some kind of toxicity. Let me tag some Educators to see if they have some suggestions.

I think this could be an avian virus. This diagnosis is made all the stronger by the decline she's experiencing. The eyes fading may be another symptom of Marek's.

Are you in the US? What state? You should strongly consider having your nearest animal testing lab euthanize her and then do a necropsy to determine if this is an avian virus and which kind. It would have serious implications for your flock.

She is the only one that is sick. No that was how she looked 3 months ago. She is now walking slowly and able to sleep Upright which is a big deal but she’s plateaued for the last month.

She is currently in a dog crate in the coop and has been there for a week. They attacked her when I let them all free range hoping it would work but it didn’t.

I wouldn’t say she is declining but more plateauing. Her eyes are the only thing that seems worse. The picture of her laying down is how she started. Now she can walk after hand feeding her for 2 months.

OK I’veuploaded a video of her walking a couple days ago. She does this several times a day but mostly just stands there with her eyes closed. She is a little sideways off to the left.

Since she's making improvements, I'd keep going with her, as you hand-feeding her is helping her overcome whatever this is. If I hadn't seen her improving, I'd have culled her, but she'd be hard for me to cull at this point, going from just lying there to actually walking around.

Have you tried vitamins with her? Regardless of what it is, I'd be giving her Poultry Cell in her water every other day, alternated with probiotics.
