i wave a 3 year old Sexlink that yesterday and today she is not eating. She lays around a lot. Tonight I gave everyone some salad and she stood in it but didn't eat any and didn't move. Her comb on her head is laying over and has a blueish tent to it. I have felt her belly to see if she has an egg stuck. But it feels fine. She hasn't laid an egg since last September when she started a molt. Can anyone help me determine what might be wrong with her and what to do for her to make her well again?

With all the others around it is hard to tell which poo is hers. When I picked her up tonight she did drool. Is that normal? I have never seen them do that.
No it’s not normal that could mean many different things. Her body is either shutting down,or has pneumonia, or bird flu. (Those are just a couple of things it could be) Blue tint to her comb could be frost bite or heart problems (blood not circulating)

Thank you everyone. With in it in the 70's this week I wouldn't think it would be pneumonia. But you never know. If it is Bird Flu do I need to keep her away from the rest of them? What electrolytes do I put in the water? It won't hurt the others to have electrolytes too will it?

I'd isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so you can closely monitor her intake of food and water, crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed), and her poops. Feel her abdomen for squishy or hard swelling.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.

Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.

Sav-A-Chik can be had at most any farm store, vitamins and electrolytes.
