I had a sick hen tried every thing but going to the vet. she did not make it. so this is what I am asking. should I lime the coop and run or do any thing I don't know what made her sick and I could not find any thing on the web or this form that matched her sickness. now I am worried that my other hens will become sick. any thoughts on this

Could you send your hen off for a necropsy or perform one yourself? It would help you figure out how she died, and lead you toward the next step to protect the rest of your flock

Our local Ag school will do a necropsy for $10. Maybe yours does, also.
