My husband went to pick them up and while one looks fine two are looking a little odd. One is sneezing and has a runny nose and the other has very squinty eyes. I'm concerned because the other two have very big bright eyes. I'm very worried and have separated the two ill looking ones from the third and I am waiting to introduce any of the silkies to my flock. Some help please? What is going on?

Your birds are sick and need to be treated...all three of them. Keep them quarantined away from all other chickens that you may have. Keep them warm, feed them a high protein feed and give them something high in protein like chopped boiled eggs.

Start them on an antibiotic in their water. My preference is lincomycin, Tylan or Baytril but you can use Duramycin or Liquamycin that you can get at Tractor Supply.

At this point it doesn't really matter what is causing the snotty noses, etc...getting them on an antibiotic is the key.

Good luck to you and feel free to ask more questions if you need to.

Thank you so much for the advice, I have them separated and I will start them on antibiotics asap. I never tried the boiled eggs but will definitely give it a go
