Well, we've had 4 calls. And he's the only one to survive. I'll fight to my death, to keep him alive. When we got him, we had him, and 2 females. We got them at 6 days old. Daphne, passed at 6 weeks from a seizure in the swimming pool
and pumpkin, the day before getting their wings clipped, flew head first, off my husband's shoulder, into the patio door. She had a serious brain injury and passed. Then poor Abby was alone, so we called the breeder again (5 hours from our home) and went and got a female from him, that was from the same brood Abby was. She had been beaten up by chickens pretty bad, but we got her healthy. But she never took to living in the house. So she went out with the Cayuga's, and loved it. Once a day she'd come in for a bath with Abby. One day, they decided to get their freak on.... Abby rode her around like a seadoo and drowned her (in Hubby's care....again....) It was funny.... But not... DEATH BY SEX what a way to go Lol. So we decided no more friends for Abby. He's happy with just us. He's already had so much loss, no need to risk it again. Then my hubby moved for work and couldn't take him with: ( Abby was heartbroken. But every time hubby came home Abby was like "wait.... You're ALIVE!!!" and it was the cutest thing with him running around everywhere and such. But yes, he's part of my family. I'd drive to the end of the world for him.
Sorry that's so long haha
