Oh I am so glad to hear he is eating!!!!!! YAY!!!!!

I think most of us here know how it is to be without the funds to take care of an animal. Most animal lovers have then for companions because animals help us humans through hard times. Hard times equals being broke. I have had to put an animal to sleep because I could not afford the treatment, and treatment is often VERY expensive. So I get it. I am SOOOO happy for you he is eating!

SQ fluids are fluids under the skin (subcutaneous), the cat absorbs them slowly through the skin. If you have the knowledge/supplies it can be done at home. I doubt it's an ulcer, that's really uncommon. But if he is eating and not throwing up..it's not likely a foreign body (string/yarn/other). I do wonder about parasites....any diarrhea? any change in food? Is the cat indoor only? The person who asked about the plants was on the right track...that would have been a valid reason for vomiting blood. I doubt a UTI...they show signs of that by urinating in odd places and crying when urinating.
IT is hard to tell when cats are lethargic!
If it was an ulcer or bleeding in the intestinal tract the blood would look like coffee grounds, not red like external bleeding. The stomach acids make the blood look like coffee grounds.

they are both indoors only and we have no other dogs, cats, or anything that would come in and out (besides humans) i havnt seen any strange poop. not bloody or runny. I cant think of anything that he could eat that would poison him. we dont have any chemicals/poisons and no plants indoors.

he is acting much better! hes drinking out of his dish and eating **a little. Hes responding to my calls and following me around again. I think that he will be fine. thank you all for the concern and support.
